Following an induction ceremony held on April 28, 2024 in Carman, Manitoba, the Manitoba Fiddle Association, Inc, is proud to announce the 2024 Wall of Fame Inductees! 

• Fiddler/Performer:  those individuals who have brought fame to the province and themselves through their outstanding fiddle music and works.
  • Lucien Laramee
  • Johnny Johannesson
  • Kris Johannesson

• Accompanist:  those individuals who have given extensively of their musical talent to accent fiddlers’ music.
  • Evelyn Gillander

• Builder/Promoter:  those individuals who have given extensively of their time and talent in the development and promotion of fiddle music in their community.
  • Richard & Arlene Graham

A plaque bearing each inductee’s photo and biography has been created and will be displayed in the Wall of Fame cabinet in the Carman Community Hall.

​Did you know… anyone can apply, pay a nominal annual membership fee and become a member of the Manitoba Fiddle Association, Inc.

If you are a fiddle-music lover and interested in encouraging, developing, promoting and preserving fiddle music as a worthy and recreational pursuit as part of our culture and heritage, then this is the membership for YOU!
 
Some of the perks include:

• Receiving quarterly Newsletters,
• Voting at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and
• Participating in promotions

 
Also, by checking in on the Manitoba Fiddle Association, Inc’s website at www.mbfiddleassociation.org you can follow when and where fiddle events are being held throughout the province as well as other special events, such as the annual Wall of Fame inductee event!
 
The annual membership fee is $15 by calendar year, ie January 1 to December 31, and payable by January 31 of the membership year. Membership can also be prepaid for two or three years as follows:  $28.00 for two (2) years or $40.00 for three (3) years. 

FOR 2024... a ‘grace’ period is being given (due by March 15, 2024) for any “NEW” members who would still like to become a member in 2024.
