18th Annual John Arcand Fiddle Fest - Results

The 18th annual John Arcand Fiddle Fest presented Workshops, Concerts and Dances and a Fiddle Competition from August 13 to 16, 2015. Please see the attached files for results of the competition.

We had a total of 51 fiddlers compete this year. The Novice category (12 and under) and the Junior category (13-17) – both had a huge increase in numbers, which shows us that the future of fiddle is great – and we are indeed passing it on to the next generation.

THANK YOU! Sponsors, funders, participants, spectators, performers, instructors, volunteers and seasonal staff, the 18th Annual John Arcand Fiddle Fest was a great success and you all played an important role in it! We are busy planning the 19th Annual, which will take place August 11th to the 14th, 2016 – hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Jane Cory

Congratulations to Jane Cory on her 2nd place finish in the Championship Class at the 31st Annual Grand North American Old Time Fiddle Competition held from July 17 to 19, 2015. Jane also received 1st place in the Twin Harmony category in the 19 to 54 age group performing with James Steele of Saskatoon, SK.
