Encouraging, developing, promoting, and preserving fiddle music as part of our culture and heritage.
History
Until 1999, Manitoba was the only Canadian province that did not have a Fiddle Association. But, on February 6th, 1999, a group of around 40 fiddlers from across Manitoba attended a meeting and elected an executive council for the Manitoba Fiddle Association (MFA). On March 9th, 1999, the MFA was officially incorporated as a non-profit corporation under The Manitoba Corporations Act.
