About
About the MFA
Encouraging, developing, promoting, and preserving fiddle music as part of our culture and heritage.
History
Until 1999, Manitoba was the only Canadian province that did not have a Fiddle Association. On February 6, 1999, a group of around 40 fiddlers from across Manitoba elected an executive council for the Manitoba Fiddle Association (MFA). On March 9, 1999, the MFA was officially incorporated as a non-profit corporation under The Manitoba Corporations Act.
